The West City String Orchestra is West City Band’s newest ensemble, started in 2022. The group is open to all ages, generally focusing on players with 2yrs+ / Grade 4+ playing experience.
We are thrilled to welcome Josh Kirk as the conductor of this group. Josh has a Bachelor of Music from the University of Auckland and an Honours in Conducting from the University of Adelaide.
We are actively looking for string players looking for a group to play with. If you, or someone you know, plays a string instrument and might be interested in this group, please contact us!
Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings, 4:30 pm – 6 pm in Henderson.
