Isobel Toman
Dancer
Isobel has trained at The Dance Shed, Auckland Academy of Dance and with many professional choreographers, giving her a versatile background in dance. Isobel has also completed two years Musical Theatre focused training with the New Zealand Performing Arts Junior Associate Program. Her dedication to the performing arts has landed her professional jobs such as mentoring at ‘Move it!’ 2018’s holiday program, dance teaching for The Dance Shed and Studio Move, mall exhibition performances, Tempo and YouDance festivals, charity events, and back up dancing for gigs and music videos for New Zealand singer Amara Duru.
Isobel has featured as an ensemble member for school shows, Bugsy Malone, All Shook Up, The Merry Wives of Windsor, KISS theatre’s Robin Hood, and has recently starred as Wednesday Addams in Rangitoto College’s senior production of The Addams Family. She also choreographed the Junior Shakespeare Production for her school.
For the last four years Isobel has consecutively received the top Australasian results for Asia Pacific Dance Association syllabus, in both hip hop and jazz, as well as receiving an invitation to become an examiner for the syllabus.
