Kate Turner

“Woman”

Kate was born and raised in Auckland, NZ. She trained in ballet, jazz and contemporary at Mount Eden Ballet Academy, completing RAD with a Solo Seal Award. At 16, she moved to Chicago, IL, to train with the Joffrey Ballet as a trainee. In 2015 she joined Cocodaco Dance Project, under Ronn Stewart, and performed with their second company. While in Chicago she taught at Foster Dance Studios, trained as a pre-professional student with Visceral Dance Chicago, and became a full time member of Cocodaco Dance Project. Since moving back to New Zealand in 2017, she has enjoyed teaching at SABA and MEBA in ballet, jazz, contemporary, open classes, and private lessons.
