Lucy Farrell

Dancer

Lucy Farrell is currently in her second year at UNITEC, working towards her Bachelor of Performing Arts, Majoring in Acting. She moved up to Auckland from Christchurch after completing her Certificate in Acting at Hagley Theatre Company. Lucy has participated in a variety of stage productions as both lead and ensemble. Marie in ‘Burn’, Isabelle in ‘Don’t Date Androids’ at Hagley Theatre Company and ‘My Fair Lady’ and ‘The Wiz’ at Linwood College.

A prime achievement in Lucy’s dance career would be playing the Evil Sea Queen in Danser à Travers L’air L’eau, at the Isaac Theatre Royal. More recently she featured in “The Usurper’ Music Video for NZ artist Arma Del Amor.

Since a young age, Lucy has trained in a wide range of dance styles. In Christchurch she taught and trained at Anna Lee School of Dance, and in 2016 achieved her NZAMD Solo Diploma and was nominated for a Ballet Scholarship. In the same year, Lucy had the amazing opportunity to travel over to Las Angeles with She Shines on Dance Tour to partake in master classes at a range of professional dance studios, seminars with industry agents, and auditions at performances at Disneyland.

As a competitive dancer, Lucy’s most memorable achievements would be taking first place in Self-Choreography, and winning three years in a row in Hip Hop categories.

Lucy is currently teaching movement and dance at Flip ad Fly Circus School, as well as on-going training at Auckland Academy of Dance. She continues to enjoy a variety of performance oppertunities through her work with The Arts Factory.
