West City ensembles typically play at various community events throughout the year, including Anzac Day ceremonies, Santa Parades and MOTAT Lights.

Waitakere Voices Choir and West City String Orchestra are excited to present a programme that explores the vast and shifting forces we all experience in our lives. At times, these forces feel expansive and beyond our control; at others, they are calm, light, and grounding. Alongside this, our internal worlds of joy and connection, challenge and sorrow, creativity and celebration, come vividly to life through song and sound.
Drawing from classical music to contemporary, from Mozart to Billie Eilish (and in four different languages!), You may even find yourself connecting with the forces of nature in your own world.

Building off the success of “Tapestry” in 2023, and “Tapestry: Threads” in 2024 – join the West City Concert Band (and some guest artists) on another journey to discover some of the vibrant musical traditions that thrive in our own backyard and how intersections with other cultures can create something truly special.
