19-22 January 2027
Massey High School
Join other young musicians from all over Auckland and the wider region for four days of music-making.
Students receive coaching from professional musicians and get to choose elective activities like jazz band, symphony orchestra, composition and conducting. All of this comes together for a public concert on the final evening. Students come away from this event with heaps of enthusiasm for playing music and greater confidence for returning to their school bands and orchestras.
The programme is intended for Intermediate and High School aged musicians and is structured to cater to a wide range of music abilities. It is open to strings, brass, woodwind, and percussion players at an equivalent to grade 2 level or above.
This is a NON-RESIDENTIAL camp. Players will need to be dropped off and collected from camp each day and will not be allowed to leave the premises without permission. Participants will need to bring their own food and drink each day.
Cost: $150 per person.
Family rates available.
Any camp queries: please email antonina.marriott@westcitymusic.org.nz.
Students attending Summer Camp 2027, as well as current West City Music students involved in a WCM group, are invited to take part in our Pin Badge Design Competition. Students can create an original design for the official 2027 Summer Camp pin badge, which will be produced as a 25mm badge and given to camp participants as a memento. The winning designer will also receive a 50% reduction on their Summer Camp 2027 fee. Entries close at 5:00 pm on Sunday 22 November 2026.
